Question:  Clarify the ARIA element and what needs to be done with it.

Answer: Good news! If you see a direction like: “Set a title and aria-label attribute for the button” it means the system is asking you to add hidden descriptive text that helps screen readers and accessibility tools understand what the button does.

BUT modern web themes automatically include the ARIA labels in the background. So, you don’t need to be redundant. You don’t need to fill out the ARIA slot.

For instance, if you have a button, and on it, write a clear verb + object (Download the guide) there is no need to copy it in two places.

Examples of Verb + Object:

    • Download the webinar handout (PDF)

    • Open the Tech-Talk video tutorial

    • View the accessibility checklist

These attributes are part of accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1.
