Plural of Yes and No?

[COMMUNICATE] Ohhhh, I’ve been in this quandy before. Have you? I’m writing the results of a poll and sharing how many yesses and noes.

Or is it, yes’s and no’s?

Or maybe it is supposed to be yeses and nos? I just don’t know which is right!

“There were 100 yeses and 35 nos.”
“The man heard 100 noes before he got a yes.”
“There were more YESes than NOs.”
“There are a thousand no’s for every yes.”

ANSWER: Which is correct? They all are! You get to pick your preference … and then deal with the fallout because not everyone will agree with you.
