This is a useful page with more details on the questions below about collaboration. https://www.canva.com/help/collaborate-with-anyone/

Q: Can you work collaboratively with a group on a mind map virtually similar to Google Jamboard through a shareable link?

A: You can share a link that lets anyone edit your design, no sign-in required. (These steps are straight from the link above.)

  1. Open the design you want to share.
  2. Select Share in the editor.
  3. Select the Collaboration Link dropdown, then choose Anyone with the link.
  4. Select the next dropdown, then choose Can edit.Tip: If you want guests to only be able to view or comment, select Can viewor Can comment.
  5. Select Copy link.
  6. Share the design link with anyone who needs edit access, even those without Canva accounts.

Anyone with the link can edit without logging in if they access it on a desktop browser. You’ll see them as a “guest.” On mobile, they’ll need to log in or sign up to edit.

Q: If you share a username with others, can you log in at the same time? Can two people be logged in twice to collaborate?

A: I tested this by signing into my Pro account from two different browsers. I was able to open the same design (in this case a Whiteboard). When I made changes in one browser, it not only updated in the other, but I could see in real time the changes being made in the other browser.

Q: Can you share the doc with people who do not have Canva?

A: Yes, per above, you can share a link that lets anyone edit your design, no sign-in required.

Q: Can you add people to your team from their private/personal email?

A: Canva “Teams” is something different than just sharing. There is a “Canva for Teams” level, https://www.canva.com/for-teams/ See “what you get” with a Teams account that is different than the free and Pro levels here, https://www.canva.com/pricing/
