Question:  Can more than one person administer/edit a YouTube channel?

Answer: Absolutely. In fact, YouTube specifically provides Channel Permissions so you don’t have to give another person your Google password. Each person uses their own email/Google account.

The channel owner goes to YouTube Studio → Settings → Permissions → Invite, enters the person’s email address, and chooses an access level. Google Help

For most organizations, the useful distinction is:

    • Manager — can do nearly everything involved in running the channel, including uploading, publishing and deleting content, editing channel details, managing live streams, and managing permissions. They cannot delete the channel.
    • Editor — can upload, publish, and edit content and manage many day-to-day functions, but has less administrative power than a Manager

Question: Do hashtags play a role in growing a YouTube channel?

Answer: Yes, but a relatively small role. Hashtags can help YouTube understand the topic of a video and can give viewers another way to find related content. But they are not a major growth driver.

For growing a channel, I would put much more emphasis on:
thumbnail → title → topic → viewer retention/watch time → description → hashtags/keywords.

YouTube says the title, thumbnail, and description are more important for discovery, while traditional video tags (also referred to as hashtags) play only a minimal role.
